Charlie, Dawei, Jonathan, Larissa, Nguyen, Nozomi, Pei Zhen, Roy, Tanya, and Prof. John Thoburn were at ISMSC 2019 in Lecce with Larissa and Roy being awarded IUCr Journals Poster Prizes. Apart from an excellent scientific program, they were able to enjoy some of the beautiful Puglia region and (of course) excellent Italian food. Several group members together with Jonathan attended ICCC 2018 in Sendai, Japan.Jonathan delivered an invited lecture titled “Functional Systems of Coordination Complexes via Subcomponent Self-Assembly”. Angela was also invited to give a talk at the Rising Stars Symposium session titled "Coordination Cages for the Transportation of Molecular Cargo". Larissa and Marion win poster prizes at GRC on Systems Chemistry
Congratulations to Larissa von Krbek and Marion Kieffer, who both won poster prizes at the 2018 Gordon Research Conference on Systems Chemistry in Maine, US. Marion's poster was titled "Quantitative Mass Spectrometry: Myth or Reality?", and Larissa's was titled "Allosteric Regulation of Anion Exchange in an Fe4L6 Tetrahedron". ISMSC 2018, Québec City
Jake, Masahiro, Dawei and Cally attended ISMSC in Québec City, Canada and presented posters, while Jonathan delivered an invited lecture on Monday afternoon. On top of the 5+ days of excellent science, the group also enjoyed excursions including sightseeing and zip-lining at the Montmorency Falls, wine-tasting and watching England play in the World Cup (sob). #Conferences #People


Dr Ben Pilgrim wins Poster Prize at GRC
Dr Ben Pilgrim was awarded a RIKEN poster prize of $500 at the recent Gordon Research Conference on Self-Assembly and Supramolecular Chemistry at Les Diablerets, Switzerland. Ben's poster was entitled 'Signal Transduction in a Covalent Post-Assembly Modification Cascade'. The prize was awarded by the conference chairs Prof. Takuzo Aida and Prof. Makoto Fujita. #Conferences #Awards #People

MASC 2016
Many of the group attend the RSC Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry Meeting in Edinburgh. Angela, Ben, Cally, Felix, Jake and Tanya all presented posters and Jonathan gave a talk. As well as attending the packed two day program of lectures we had the chance to sample the Edinburgh Christmas markets and climb to the top of Arthur's Seat for spectacular views of Edinburgh. #Conferences #Events
