Simone Adorinni was born in 1995 in Udine, Italy. After obtaining his B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Trieste, he carried out his Ph.D. in the group of Prof. Silvia Marchesan, where he focused on the design and synthesis of functional materials. His research combined different supra- and nano-architectures, focusing on peptide hydrogels, carbon nanomaterials and metal-organic cages. In August 2024, Simone joined the Nitschke group at the University of Cambridge.
