Sabrina Hu

Sabrina was born in Houston, Texas (US) in 2000. She studied chemistry and history at Washington University in St. Louis, where she worked on improving lactide cyclopolymerization rates using an aluminum catalyst in Prof. Bill Tolman's group and on developing a site-selective, catalytic photoelectrochemical decarboxylation reaction at the C-terminus of peptides in Prof. Kevin Moeller's group. In 2023, she began her PhD in the Nitschke group, funded by the Gates Cambridge scholarship. Her project focuses on developing ways to bridge the vertices of metal-organic cages to produce structures with novel and interesting topologies. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys reading, thrifting, and buying a coffee and a pastry.
