Jiratheep Pruchyathamkorn (Boom)
Jiratheep (Boom) finished his undergraduate degree (2015-2019) in chemistry from Merton College, University of Oxford, with a Master thesis on "Rotaxanes for Binding Nanorings" in the group of Prof. Harry Anderson. He was awarded Jardine Postgraduate Scholarship to persue his postgraduate study in the NanoDTC programme at the University of Cambridge (Peterhouse College). He started his first year (MRes) in the NanoDTC in 2019 doing rotations in different departments, conducting interdisciplinary projects in the nanoscience theme such as studying stability of perovskite composite materials using cathodoluminescence-SEM technique. He then joined the Nitschke group as a PhD student in 2020, working on metal-organic cages for chemical separations in flow systems, in collaboration with Dr. Laura Torrente (Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology).
In his free time, Boom enjoys squash, badminton, hiking, board games and music.
