Itai was born in Israel in 1998. He obtained his BSc (2017), MSc (2018), and PhD (2023) from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, working on the strategic application of alkene isomerization in stereoselective synthesis with Prof. Ilan Marek. In October 2023, Itai joined the Nitschke group as a postdoctoral research associate, funded by the Herchel Smith and Rothschild fellowships. He also serves as a research fellow at Fitzwilliam College. Outside the lab, Itai likes to play chess, listen to jazz music, and cook.
