Huangtianzhi Zhu was born in Hubei, China in 1993. He studied in the Pursuit Science Class (chemistry) of the Chu Kochen Honors College at Zhejiang University from 2012 to 2016 and obtain a B.S. degree. In 2013, he joined Prof. Yanguang Wang’s group as an undergraduate student studying synthetic methodology, and then in 2015, joined the group of Prof. Feihe Huang, working on pillararenes. In 2016, he became a master student in Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of the Zhejiang University under guidance of Prof. Feihe Huang and Prof. Zhengwei Mao in supramolecular biomaterials and he returned to the Department of Chemistry as a PhD candidate in 2019. Huangtianzhi completed his PhD in Huang’s group in 2021. He also had a chance to visit the group of Prof. Peter J. Stang in 2020, working on coordination-driven self-assembly. In September 2021, Huangtianzhi began to work as a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Jonathan Nitschke’s group at the University of Cambridge. In his free time, he enjoys bicycling, swimming and table tennis.
