Dengqian was born in Hunan, China. She studied Chemistry at the University of Hong Kong from 2021 to 2023 before coming to Cambridge in 2023 to read Natural Sciences through the HKU–Cambridge Dual Degree Programme. Her current Part III project in the Nitschke Group focuses on the construction of supramolecular cages, supervised by Dr Shuhe Wang.

 

In her spare time, Dengqian enjoys reading and playing badminton.
