Hannah was born in Aalen (Germany) in 1993. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) in 2015 and 2017, respectively. In 2017, she started her PhD, which was funded by the Kekulé Fellowship of the ‘Fonds der Chemischen Industrie’, in the workgroup of Prof. Dr. Birgit Weber at the University of Bayreuth. Her research focused on fluorescent sensor materials based on 3d transition metal complexes.

Hannah joined the Nitschke group in 2022 as a postdoctoral research associate, funded by a Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and by an Isaac Newton Trust Fellowship. In January 2023, Hannah became a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College. Besides research, she enjoys dancing various types of social dances such as Latin, Salsa, and Argentine Tango.
