Ana is a Part III student from Romania, working on establishing design principles for the formation of new classes of metal-organic cages. She is currently analyzing possible guests for this type of chemistry using modeling and preliminary results from literature. Ana has competed two summer research projects in Organic Synthesis (in 2018 in Dr Mihaela Matache's group at the University of Bucharest, and in 2019 in Prof Chris Hunter's group at Cambridge) and has recently written a literature review for a Swiss start-up on sustainable wood binders. Outside of her academics, Ana enjoys studying languages (currently Intermediate French and Beginner Japanese) and is involved in outreach and tutoring schemes.
